So sitting in church on Sunday the sermon was a continuation of the Revelations series we have been studying. We studied the "whore of Babylon" story and decided that the Babylon they are talking about is Rome. Paul said that Rome, to us, is whatever was in our life that can seduce us or keep us away from God. He asked us to question what in our life is Rome. I think that I have determined that mine is materialism. I think that wanting new things can get in the way of my worshipping God with all of my heart and soul. I hope to work on this in the future.
